Still more practices: chrysanthemum. 2 (菊花.再再練習.2)

It's all pink and purple chrysanthemums in the last blog. Time now for their cousins in gold. .

Really fascinating how flower farmers manage to create so many new varieties.

A close up of one of them. Are the rust color painted on ?

A school of big dolphins protecting their young?

Needless to say, the exhibition was thronging with tens of photographers, including some master with their apprentices. I profited from their black panels for blocking out unwanted background to take this.

and this.

The petal of this chrysanthemum were so delicate

I couldn't resist taking another one of them

A jumble of egg noodles?

A yellow chrysanthemum in full bloom

A ball of curves

By contrast, this one looks much more straightforward

The yellow stood out much more, thanks to the other's blackboard.

Tiny little yellow eels at its heart?

Yellow bean sprouts or golden mushrooms?

Found this little ball of noodles just before lunch.

I don't know if I was lucky. It started to rain just before lunch. The petals were dotted with raindrops when I emerged from the canteen.

Magical light!

Such softness

How fascinating to see the petals curving into each other with such natural grace.

  1. Which is happier, the rain or the chrysanthemums? Maybe both when such an encounter brings such harmony and mutual contentment!
Best wishes to you on the eve of 2013!
[版主回覆12/31/2012 10:58:11]You're so right. The rain needs the chrysanthemum as the frame for its crystalline raindrops and the chrysanthemum needs the rain to bloom ! May you have another year of good health. You got everything else!

  7. What camera you are using? I think you are really into photography now, must have spent lot of time in shooting. I just make up my mind to learn the basic technique when I have used GF2 for a full year 2013 plan, stop using IA function of the camera.
[版主回覆01/03/2013 12:13:22]I'm using Olympus OM-D E-M5 with ED MSC lens with Macro-converter MCON PO-1 for close ups. I see that you're using Panasonic. I'm still in the process of learning about the effects of using various options available. I still got a long long way to go.
