Saturday Fun (星期六趣味)

It's often said that Chinese people have no sense of humor. I think that if ever that were true, then it's fast changing.  They can play on words too.

1.

The Chinese literature teacher asks his student to complete the following Chinese couplet by giving the starting line:  "Got money, willful" (有錢,任性)

Tiny Bright replies "No money, fateful" ( 小明回答:「沒錢,認命」。)

2.

History Teacher:      Why was it that in olden days, women bound their feet?

Tiny Bright replies:    So they couldn't go shopping.
History Teacher:       If so, why is that they don't bind their feet now?
Tiny Bright:                Now they can do their shopping on the internet.

3.

Question: What kind of man is most faithful.
Answer:    The locomotive driver.
Question:  Why?
Answer:     Once he goes off the rails, he dies.

4.

Question:   What is the most unfaithful thing in the world.
Answer:      Money. You go out with it but it'll never return with you.

5.

Question:   What then is most faithful?
Answer:      It's your fat...no matter what you do, it stays with you.

6.

A mother was teaching her daughter about picking a husband: "Picking a husband is a serious matter, you really got to be careful. Look at your dad,, he knows how to fix everything...the car, electrical gadgets, the tap... even the wardrobe...."

The daughter interrupts her mother, "I understand."

The mother replies: "My dear, you've understood absolutely nothing! If you got someone like your dad, don't you ever dream of having anything new in your house!"

Have a nice weekend.
